How Did “Jesus Christ” Become The “Third Part Of God”?

April 29th, 2007

This may on the surface appear to be a rather strange question. Our present day Bibles are severely corrupted but we don’t need to throw the baby out with the bath water.  With all the accompanying difficulties of trying to get to the truth of the matter, that is what rigorous Biblical scholarship is ultimately about. It can be proven beyond any reasonable doubt that Yeshua became the anointed (Hebrew: Messiah/Greek: Christ) at his baptism in the Jordan, and the begotten son of God at his “being raised” from the dead.  Further, the absurd Christian doctrine of the trinity, which along with that other absurd doctrine, virgin birth, is the foundation of modern Christian theology was written into the Bible by the fourth century Roman Church, by people who had long held these belief for thousands of years and considered Yeshua the latest incarnation of their sun-god.

In truth, modern Christianity is in every way the continuation of Mithraism, with a severely corrupted version of the new covenant scriptures employed to make the religion of Mithra appear as the religion of Yeshua Hanotzri, who was duplicity renamed “Jesus Christ” as if a Greek word “Christ” was his surname.

Those initiates of the mystery religions had always worshiped their sun-god in previous incarnations prior to Yeshua as Mithra, Osiris, Dionysus, Tammuz, and Adonis to name just a few who were born of a virgin in a stable or cave, lived lives as the redeemer of mankind, and were crucified and risen saviours.  All these incarnations as the sun god were born on or near the December twenty-fifth, and resurrected at a time of the year equivalent to the time of Easter.

Be that as it may no area of Jewish literature could be more inhospitable to the Christian doctrine of the triune nature of the godhead, than the Tanakh and the writings of its prophets. It is on the strength of these texts that the Jewish people have preserved the concept of one, single, unique creator God, at times detrimental to their personal survival, albeit, One God under Many Names.

Understandably, orthodox Christians undertake a formidable task when they seek to ‘prove” the doctrine of the Trinity from the Jewish Scriptures. No prophet went silent on the uncompromising radical monotheism of the God of Israel. The Jewish people, therefore, to whom these sublime declarations about the nature of God were given, knew nothing about a trinity of persons in the godhead.

Because Yeshua Hanotzri relayed his divine message on the nature of God with timeless clarity, no text in the Biblical record could hold any promise for the creedal Church to raise any argument as a support for their teachings of the Trinity. Understandably, the defenders of Christendom flaunted the very verses that they managed somehow to skew into supposed support for this mythological doctrine.

To see if we can come to a clear understanding of the dilemma Christendom has found itself in we pose a number of questions, the answers to which may in fact bring clarity to the matter.

If God wanted to convey to his people that he alone was God and there was no other who shared this exclusive quality with him, what words do you think he would use so that there would be no possibility for error?

What phrase could he select so that there would be no chance of misunderstanding?

If we wanted to describe the unique oneness of God in a way that could not be misinterpreted, how would we express this?

Would we not have used the words that Moses reported God to have said in Deuteronomy 32:39, “See now that I myself am he!  There is no god besides me . . .”

As a result of this and many other pronouncements throughout the Tanakh, the injunction is to worship the one God – alone.

No prophet in the Tanakh ever remained silent on this foundational teaching.  As if with one voice, they pleaded with their often-wayward nation never to compromise their faith for anything other than the unwavering monotheism that they tirelessly preached.  Over and over again, the Tanakh declared with deliberate lucidity in its most celebrated creeds that the almighty alone is God, and there is no other.  Nothing was ever “screened”, nothing was ever “veiled.”  It could not be, because the very survival of the Jewish people depended on it.  The first five books of the Tanakh intimately connect the faith in one indivisible God with the national experience of the Jewish people throughout their long history.  Dreadful suffering was the consequence for any defection from the uncompromising monotheism that the God demanded of his people.

Throughout the Jewish scriptures, God never “screened or veiled his divine nature”.  In fact, Isaiah unequivocally proclaimed that God did not reveal himself in darkness or in a hidden or veiled fashion.  In Isaiah 45:19 the prophet, declares,”I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob’s descendants, “Seek Me in vain.”  I, the Lord, speak the truth; I declare what is right”.

Although the belief in the unity of God is taught and declared on virtually every page of the Tanakh, the doctrine of the Trinity is never mentioned anywhere throughout the entire corpus of the Bible. The term “Trinitas” was introduced to Christian vocabulary by Tertullian, a late second, early third century Christian convert, born of pagan parents in Carthage sometime around 160 CE. The Jerusalem Church founded by the disciples of Yeshua, was a monotheistic sect within Judaism until it was overtaken by gentiles towards the end of the first century CE.

The authors of the New Testament were completely unaware that the church they had fashioned would eventually embrace a pagan deification of a triune deity.  Although the worship of a three-part godhead was well known and fervently venerated throughout the Roman Empire in religious systems such Mithraism and Sol Invictus, and in other religions such as Hinduism, it was quite distant from the Judaism out of which Christianity emerged.  However, when the Greeks and Romans eventually dominated the church, it created a theological catastrophe from which orthodox Christendom has never recovered.  By the end of the fourth century, the doctrine of the Trinity was firmly in place as a central tenet of the church, and Eastern councils held in Nicea and Constantinople formally rejected the strict monotheism of the early Christian sect. The paganisation process of the Roman Catholic Church was now almost complete!

This absorption of a triune godhead into Christianity created serious problems for post-Nicene Christian apologists. How would they harmonise this new adoration of Yeshua as a being who is of the same substance as the Father with a New Testament that portrays Yeshua as a separate entity, subordinate to the Father, and created by God?  How would they now integrate the teaching of the Trinity with a New Testament that recognised the Father alone as God?  In essence, how would Christian apologists merge a first and second century Christian Bible that was monotheistic with a much later church that was not?

This task was particularly difficult because throughout the Gospels and Paul’s letters Yeshua never claims to be God.  On the contrary, the Yeshua of the New Testament makes it crystal clear that he is not God, but rather received a commission from God.  For example, in John 14:28, Yeshua declares;” I go unto the father, for my father is greater than I”.

An example illustrates this particularly well.  In the thirteenth chapter of the Book of Mark, Yeshua is asked by four of his disciples when the Tribulation period will occur.  In 13:32 Yeshua responds, “But of that day and that hour knows no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the son, but God”.

The problems this verse creates for Trinitarians are staggering.  If Yeshua were coequal with the father, how could the father have information that Yeshua lacked?  That is to say, if Yeshua were God manifested in the flesh, as orthodox Christians contend, how can God not know something?  If somehow the second person of the godhead didn’t know, how did the first person find out?  Moreover, if, as some Trinitarians persist, the son was limited by his human nature, why didn’t the Holy Spirit know?

Christians cannot simply explain away this verse by insisting that it was Yeshua’s human or humble nature that did not know.  This is because the doctrine of the Trinity does not hold that Yeshua was half God and half man. Rather, Yeshua was one hundred percent God and one hundred percent man. His substance as God was not diminished because of his human nature. As the ecclesiastical Athanasian Creed explicitly states.

“The divinity of the father, son, and Holy Spirit is one, their glory equal, their majesty coeternal.  What quality the father has, the son has, and the Holy Spirit has”. Athanasius was one of the principal architects of the early church at a time when Roman Christianity was becoming the State religion and the New Testament was taking shape. We can surmise from the meaningless gobbledygook of the Creed that bears his name something of the character of the men who determined what went into the canon of the New Testament.

Few statements defining the nature of the triune godhead have so plainly spelled out the nature of the doctrine of the Trinity, as does this durable fourth century creed. We also learn from the same history that the authenticity of the books of which it is composed was denied by many at the time, usually referred to as “heretics”.

It was by the votes by such persons as Athanasius that the New Testament was declared to be the word of God and no proposal is more bizarre than that of declaring the word of God by vote. Those who can base their faith on such authority obviously put man in the place of God.

Some will argue that Yeshua’ statement in John 10:30, “I and my father are one”, demonstrates that Yeshua considered himself God.  The Greek word hen (one), however, does not imply being a part of the same substance.  We see this clearly in John 17:11 and 17:21-22 where Yeshua prays to God that the disciples may be one (hen) as are Yeshua and God.  Clearly, Yeshua is requesting that the disciples be of one unified purpose, not of the same substance or part of the Trinity.

Moreover, John 10:30-34 is particularly revealing.  The fourth Gospel describes how when the Jews heard Yeshua proclaim, “I and my father are one”, they immediately wanted to stone him.  When Yeshua asks them why they wanted to kill him, the Jews responded because “you claim to be God.”  Upon hearing this, Yeshua asked, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I have said you are gods’?”  This response is one of the most important statements in the Book of John, and should at least give Trinitarians pause.

The verse is found in Psalm 82:6 where the Bible refers to judges who teach God’s divine law as gods.  This title was bestowed on them because they were teachers of God’s divine law, not because they were actually God in any way.  This usage is quite common in the Jewish scriptures.  For example, in Exodus 7:1 Moses is called a god because he was God’s representative to Pharaoh.  In essence, Yeshua’s reply confirms the very opposite of what Christianity is trying to put forth.  Yeshua, as depicted by John, is explaining that his identification with God is comparable to the Jewish judges’ identification with God.

The fact remains that no author in the New Testament ever advanced the doctrine of the Trinity and the word Trinity does not appear anywhere in the entire Biblical record.  It took many years from the time the last Gospel was completed for the defenders of the orthodox institutionalised Church to promote this alien creed.

As we have seen above the orthodox Trinitarian Christians quote a number of texts both from the Tanakh and the New Testament as proof texts.

The earliest of these texts is the first verse of the Bible in which the word Elohim is used as a name of God. It is one of the better known arguments used by Christians to defend that most untenable of creeds, the doctrine of The Trinity, so we will examine this particular text in some detail.

Nowhere in the New Testament does any author make the claim that Yeshua was God or that this particular verse somehow makes him a third part of God. It is a doctrine that was completely unknown to Yeshua Hanotzri or his disciples and he would have been appalled to think that orthodox Christians would associate him with such blasphemy. It is almost ridiculous to remind readers that the first books that eventually become part of the canon of the New Testament were written some thirty or seventy plus years after the death of Yeshua.  So we remind the reader that the scripture used by Yeshua, his disciples and the authors of the Gospels, were the Tanakh and nowhere is it claimed that they had authority to change them.

It is difficult to imagine a notion more hostile to the pure monotheism preached in the Old Testament scriptures than the Christian teaching that there is a plurality within the divine nature of God. Yet, with limited knowledge of the Jewish Bible and the language in which it was written, many Trinitarians brazenly refer to the name of God as it appears in the first verse in the Bible to advance their contention that there are three persons sharing in the godhead.

More specifically, Christian apologists point to the plural form of the Hebrew word Elohim, which is one of the names of God frequently used in the Torah.  They insist that in scripture the use of the Hebrew letters yod and mem, at the end of the word Elohim as a plural suffix, provides ample evidence from the Torah that there is a plurality within the nature of God.  Those Christians that proclaim that this plural syntax is somehow indicative of the “plural form of three in one” are on an even more fragile limb. Readers can rest assured that the Hebrew tongue is a foreign language to most Christians, and both contentions are erroneous.  While at first the assertion can be easily explained away by lack of familiarity with the biblical language, the second point cannot.  Any comment that the plural suffix in Elohim is indicative of “a plural form of three in one” is particularly preposterous, and underscores how frustrated Trinitarians can become in their rash effort to somehow shore up this strange doctrine.

Bear in mind, there is no mystery as to the origins of the Trinity, nor is there any secret as to whose loins gave birth to this aberrant creed.  The doctrine of the Trinity emerged out of the crucible of the early Roman Church long after the Christian first century.  It is, therefore, no wonder that this pagan doctrine was unknown to authors of the New Testament.  Church history reveals that it was not until three hundred years after the birth of Christianity that the doctrine of the Bianity (325 C.E.), Council of Nicea, and Trinity (381 C.E.) First Council of Constantinople received formal approval in the developing orthodox Christian community. These well-documented events occurred under circumstances confused with political agitation and radical dissention.  In essence, the Jewish people never believed in a Trinity, and the church adopted it under enormous political pressure from the most pagan segments of the Eastern section of the Church.

Understandably, modern day Christians undertake a formidable task when they seek to prove this fourth century doctrine from a radically monotheistic Torah, which is timeless.

There is an enormous difficulty with the interpretation that the name Elohim signifies a sort of plurality in the godhead; for if Elohim implies a plurality of persons, how can Christians explain that the identical word Elohim in the Torah refers to Moses as well?  Regarding Moses, in Exodus 7:1, the Torah says, “And the Lord said unto Moses, see, I have made thee a god (Elohim) to Pharaoh, and Aaron thy brother shall be my prophet”.

Are Christians also claiming that there was a plurality of persons in Moses?  Is anyone going to insist that Moses was part of a Trinity?  The notion that Moses, who is called Elohim in the Torah, possessed more than one person is preposterous.  Moreover, if the name of God is to signify a plurality in the godhead, why wasn’t the name YHVH, which is by far the most frequently used name for God in the Jewish scriptures, also written in the plural?  Clearly, this sort of Trinitarian argument is baseless.

The word Elohim possesses a plural intensive syntax and is singular in meaning.  This is self-evident from the grammatical fact that the verb “created” (bara) in Genesis 1:1 is in the singular.  This linguistic pattern is well known and widely used throughout the Jewish scriptures.  For example, it is certain that many of our readers are familiar with the Hebrew word chayim, meaning “life.”  Notice that this word contains the identical plural suffix “im”, as in Elohim, yet it repeatedly means “life”, in the singular, throughout the Bible.  Examples are: “And Rebecca said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth; if Jacob takes a wife of the daughters of Heth, like these who are daughters of the land, what good will be my life (chayim) be to me”?

“You have granted me life (chayim) and favour, and your care has preserved my spirit”.

The fact that the name of God, Elohim, does not in any way imply a plurality in the godhead is well known and widely recognised even among Trinitarian Christians.  For example, in the New International Version Study Bible, which is hardly a translation or annotation which could be construed as responsive to the Jewish faith, the Christian author writes in his commentary on Genesis 1:1, God created. “The Hebrew noun Elohim is plural but the verb is singular, a normal usage in the Old Testament when reference is made to the one true God. The use of the plural expresses intensification rather than a number and has been called the plural of majesty or of potentiality”. Finally, it is important to understand the crucial message the name Elohim conveys to the Children of Israel.  To clarify, two questions must be answered.  1) Why does the Torah employ this intensive plural name for the Almighty throughout? And 2) Why is this name predominant throughout the creation narrative in Genesis.

There is a fundamental principal regarding the many names of God as they appear in the Torah – they are exalted descriptions of the God of Israel.  The name Elohim, which is no exception to this rule, comes from the Hebrew root el, which means “might” or “power.”  This common root appears in a variety of words throughout the Jewish scriptures.  For example, we find this word used in the famous opening words to Psalm 29, “havu la’donai b’nai eylim”.  This is well known to those of the Jewish faith because the congregation sings this Psalm in the synagogue every Sabbath morning as the Torah is being placed back into the ark.  What do these noble words mean?  “Ascribe to the LORD, O sons of the mighty.” (New American Standard Bible)

We can now have deeper understanding of the message behind the sacred name Elohim.  The pagan world ascribed a god for each of the powers in the world that they observed and on whom they depended.  They saw a powerful and perplexing energy emanating from the sun, and they worshiped the sun god.  They craved an abundant harvest and boundless fertility, and they appointed gods for them as well.  The ancients were awestruck by the forces that sustained them, and venerated each of them with mysterious and sometimes gruesome rites.

The Torah of Israel had a very different message for mankind.  All the forces and energies in the universe, all the might and power that man could behold, emanated from the One Creator of the universe. This grand message was contained in the name of God, Elohim.  All the forces of the world emerged from the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.  This God, Creator of all matter, is alone worthy of worship. It is for this reason that the name of God, Elohim, appears more frequently than any other name of God throughout the first two chapters of Genesis.  In these chapters God is creating all the powers and forces that fill the universe.

There is no sun god to be venerated.  In fact, the God who created the sun on the fourth day created fish on the fifth.

You can now begin to understand why the nation of Israel, to whom God revealed himself at the foot of Mount Sinai, knew nothing about a plurality of persons in the godhead and therefore neither did Yeshua Hanotzri. No canonical fact could be more firmly established. This matter is indisputable.

To say that God is one and also three is Roman duplicitous absurdity.

And so we offer a word of advice to those who would give credence to this falsity – the doctrine of the Trinity: “Do not slander a servant to his master, lest he curse you, and you be held guilty”.

Roman Catholicism -the Modern Version of the Cult of Sol Invictus?

April 29th, 2007

I hope my pagan friends will not be too unkind to me for insisting that Christianity is in fact a pagan religion. This is not to make a value judgement on those who practice pagan rites but represents the facts of the matter. There is not one Christian dogma or doctrine that does not have its origins in ancient pagan concepts. Of interest, however, I find no evidence that “organised paganism”, if ever a thing existed, engaged in such monstrosities as the Crusades, witch burning, secular wars and torture of those with whom they disagreed, therefore, it is quite understandable that today’s neo- pagans don’t want to be associated with that religion which is the successor to the cults of Mitra and Sol Invictus.

But it does seem rather pompous and hypocritical for the Churches of Christendom to define a “Pagan” as a Non-Christian, which happened early in Christian history and then later on change that definition to anyone who is a Non-Christian – Moslem and Jew alike. Then having re-defined “pagan” as such, adopt pagan customs and traditions into their so called “anti-pagan” Christian faith.

Before we go any further please understand that Christianity has always been a pagan religion and that Christians worship a non-existent saviour with a Greco/Roman literary creation called “Jesus Christ”. This “Jesus Christ” never existed but Yeshua Hanotzri did!

The Roman Catholic Church is none other than a Roman government creation for the sole purposes of political control.

Constantine’s declaration that “Christianity” was the sole religion tolerated in the Empire was done for political reasons, not religious. It was a forced amalgamation of pagan religions, syncretised with this new, and in many regards popular religion, into a state religion.  The Roman Church became the religious arm of the Roman political machine.

The Church founded in Jerusalem by the disciples of Yeshua Hanotzri was never a Christian Church but a sect within Judaism. It was a reforming movement within Judaism which eventually came into conflict with the Temple priests who ultimately excommunicated them from the Temple and the Synagogues. Around 100 CE the remnants of the original Jewish Church had been completely replaced by gentiles. It later became something else, “that preached a different Gospel” and by the end of the fourth century CE had become the replacement Church that embraced both Mithraicism and the Cult of Sol Invictus, ergo, pagan.

So where is the “Line of Demarcation” between Christianity and Paganism?  There is none! All that is required for Christians to discover if they are a “Practicing Pagan” (regardless of the definition) is to see if their Church has adopted “Ancient Pagan Customs,” such as “The Saturnalia” (Christmas), “Easter” (Ishtar), Trinitarian formulations (Plato), virgin born saviours (too long a list to itemise), etc. (Refer “Debunking Dodgy Doctrine and Ecclesiastic Double Talk”. A publication of the AFSP)

Christianity is not a religion that has its roots in Judaism, nor is it a religion that is based upon the religion of the person who is the central character in the New Testament. His religion was that which is to be found in the Tanakh, derogatorily called the “Old” Testament by the Christians.

There is no such person in the New Testament by the name of “Jesus Christ” which is a literary concoction designed to hide certain information from the public about the central character in the Bible. The use of the literary concoction “Jesus Christ” is designed to dissemble, and that is, to hide the fact that there are many “Christs” in the Bible not all of whom were of the Hebrew race. The word “Christ” is a title, not a name and its Hebraic equivalent is Masiach, transliterated into English as Messiah, and is left untranslated only when it refers to the central character in the New Testament.

The name of the central character in the New Testament initially would have been Yeshua ben Yoseph (son of Joseph) by his contemporaries and later would have been referred to by the general public as Yeshua Hanotzri. (Jesus of Nazareth)

It was much later on, around 100/120 CE, because of some diligent research by a person whose identity is unknown to us but assigned the appellation – Luke –  discovered that Joseph was not the father of Yeshua but a man by the name of Heli. If this had been generally known at the time of his birth (except of course by his Mother) he might have been named Yeshua ben Heli. Nevertheless, he was not named “Jesus Christ”. So when Christians call upon “his name” they may in fact be calling upon the name of a Latin/Greek literary concoction.

The Roman Empire began their official recognition of sun worship during the time of Aurelian when he instituted the cult of “Sol Invictus”. There is virtually no difference between the cult of Sol Invictus and that of Mithraism or for that matter Roman Catholicism and her protestant daughters.

In the year 307 A.D. Emperor Diocletian, a sun worshipper, was involved in the dedication of a temple to Mithra, and was responsible for the burning of Christian scripture, which made it possible for later emperors to formulate Christianity, and thus began the Roman version of the “Universal Christo-pagan Mystery Religion.” (I am indebted to Dan J Love Minister of the Sabbatarian Congregations of Yahweh who coined Christo-pagan as a description of the Christian Churches. It is a most appropriate description) After the reign of Diocletian, the Roman Emperor Constantine, who was an early Christo-pagan maintained the title “Pontifus Maximus” the high priest of paganism, and remained a worshipper of Apollo. His coins were inscribed: “SOL INVICTO COMITI”, which is interpreted as “Committed to the Invincible Sun”. During his reign pagan sun worship was blended with the emergent new religion, and officially titled “Christianity” by the Roman Empire and its’ official church the Holy Roman Apostolic and Catholic Church.

Cybele, the Phrygian goddess, known to her followers as “the mother of god”, (One of the titles now given by the Roman Church to Mary, the mother of Yeshua. Refer Debunking…) was closely related to the worship of Mithra. Just as Mithraism was a man’s religion, the worship of Cybele was practiced by women. The priests of Mithra were known as “Fathers” and the Priestesses of Cybele as “Mothers”. After baptism into the Mysteries of Mithra, the initiate was marked on the forehead. The sign of the cross formed by the elliptic and the celestial equator was one of the signs of Mithra.

Sunday (Deis Solis), the day of the sun, was considered by Mithraism a sacred day of rest. December 25th (the birthday of Mithra) was celebrated as the birth of the sun, given birth by the “Queen of Heaven” – (Once again a title given by the Roman Church to Mary, the mother of Yeshua. ibid)  ”Mother of god.” The Mithraists celebrated a Mithraic love feast. This feast consisted of loaves of bread decorated with crosses with wine, over which the priest pronounced a mystic formula. Mithra was considered mediator between god and man.

(NB: In 46 BC, when the Roman “Julian Calendar” was adopted, December 24th was the shortest day of the year. Therefore, December 25th was the first annual day that daylight began to increase. Thus, the origin of the rebirth or annual birthday of the invincible sun).

In accordance with the Roman “Julian calendar,” the “Saturnalia” festival appears to have taken place on or about December 17th; it was preceded by the “Consualia” near December 15th, and followed by the “Opalia” on December 19th. These pagan celebrations typically lasted for at least a week, ending just before the late Roman Imperial Festival for “Sol Invictus” (Invincible Sun) on December 25th.

In 1582 CE the Roman Catholic Pope Gregory the XIII adopted the “Gregorian Calendar”, in order to eliminate the solar time shift error introduced by the “Julian Calendar.”

By December 1582 CE the shortest day of the year had shifted 12 days on the Roman “Julian Calendar” to Wednesday, December 12, 1582.

However, the Original December 25th ‘Birth Date’ was retained for all pagan sun gods by the Roman “Saturnalia” and “Sol Invictus” traditions; which were now called the “Twelve Days Christ Mass.”

On the new Roman Catholic Gregorian calendar the shortest annual day was numerically shifted back 10 days to the 22nd of December, where it remains to this day; while the original order of the days of the week remained unchanged.

Therefore, Wednesday, December 12th, 1582 CE became Wednesday, December 22nd, 1582 CE, and the Sabbath Day remained unchanged.

Mithraists, also, believed in eternal life in heaven, and in the torture of the wicked after death. Many of these beliefs and rituals were exclusive to Mithraism and up until the fourth century CE were not an official part of the Christo-pagan faith. In the 4th century, through confusion and deliberate manipulation by the Roman Empire and its’ official church, rituals of “Sun Worship” were legitimised, under the guise of the “Authority of the Church” (one is tempted to ask “Under whose authourity”) to be “Christian” in nature. There is no Biblical support for the inclusion of Mithraic rituals into the worship of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. This same system, characterised by the shrouding of truth in secrecy and the manipulation of the truth in order to achieve its ends, has been working for 1700 years to perfect the Christo-pagan religion of Christianity. The mystery of iniquity is at work and it only takes a little leaven to leaven the whole lump. The next step is the actual forced taking of the “Mark of the Beast,” however; millions have already taken the “Mark of the Beast” voluntarily.

One of the greatest paradoxes of our time is the fact that “The Christians” are actually the followers of the Antichrist or Anti-Messiah doctrines; and the sad part is that they haven’t figured it out yet. The original gentile Christians are those that became the followers of the fictitious Greco-Roman Catholic saviour of the world. It is fictitious in the sense that their mythical saviour “Jesus Christ” is the product of anti-Semitic (or anti-Hebrew) Greek and Roman gentiles, who left the original Hebrew congregations, stole the popularity of the Jewish Messiah, and replaced him with the fictitious (Greco-Roman catholic) saviour of the world, “Jesus Christ” and then cast out those who were still wanted to worship the God of the Tanakh – YHVH.

Now, all this could be dismissed as the ravings of someone who dismisses Christianity in all its varying manifestations as representative of Yeshua Hanotzri. However, it is always a good practice to quote sources from Catholic apologists. And what do we find? Not only do Roman Catholic sources admit that it is based upon pagan concepts and not on concepts that Yeshua Hanotzri  could identify from the religion of which he was a part;  Rome not only embraces the idol worship of the Pagan nations, they actually admit it!

The Venerable Cardinal Newman was an Anglican Priest who converted to Roman Catholicism and later made a Cardinal. He was one of the most important Catholic writers of the nineteenth century. Cardinal Newman admits that; “…the use of temples, and these dedicated to particular saints, and ornamented on occasions with branches of trees; incense, lamps, and candles; votive offerings on recovery from illness; holy water; asylums; holydays and seasons, use of calendars, processions, blessings on the fields; sacerdotal vestments, the tonsure, the ring in marriage, turning to the East, images at a later date, …the ecclesiastical chant, and the Kyrie Eleison, are all of pagan origin, and sanctified by their adoption into the Church. {374}” An Essay on The Development of the Christian Doctrine John Henry “Cardinal Newman” p.359

The penetration of the religion of Babylon became so general and well known that Rome was called the “New Babylon.” -Faith of our fathers 1917 ed. Cardinal Gibbons, p. 106

“Confiding then in the power of Christianity to resist the infection of evil and to transmute the instruments and appendages of demon worship to an evangelical use… the rulers of the church from early times were prepared should occasion arise, to adopt, or imitate, or sanction the existing rites and customs of the (Pagan) populace.” -Development of Christian Doctrine, Cardinal Newman. p. 372

Cardinal Newman lists many examples of things of “pagan origin” which the papacy brought into the church “in order to recommend the new religion to the heathen” He stated, “in order to recommend the new religion to the heathen: The use of temples, and these dedicated to particular saints, and ornamented on occasions with branches of trees; incense, lamps, and candles; holy water; asylums [hermitages, monasteries and convents]; [pagan] holy-days, processions, sacerdotal vestments, the tonsure, the ring in marriage, turning to the East, images, . . . and the Kyrie Eleison.”–Cardinal J. H. Newman, An Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine, 1920 edition, p.373 [Roman Catholic].

“The [Catholic] Church took the pagan philosophy and made it the buckler of faith against the heathen. She took the pagan Roman Pantheon, temple of all the gods, and made it sacred to all the martyrs; so it stands to this day. She took the pagan Sunday and made it the Christian Sunday. She took the pagan Easter and made it the feast we celebrate during this season . . . The Sun was a foremost god with heathendom . . . The sun has worshipers at this hour in Persia and other lands . . . Hence the Church would seem to say, ‘Keep that old pagan name [Sunday]. It shall remain consecrated, sanctified.’ And thus the pagan Sunday, dedicated to Balder, became the Christian Sunday, sacred to Jesus”–William L. Gildea, “Paschale Gaudium,” in The Catholic World, 58, March, 1894, p. 809 [A Roman Catholic weekly].

“The mighty Catholic Church was little more then the Roman Empire baptized.”– A. C, Flick, The Rise of the Mediaeval Church, 1909 edition, p. 148.

From ancient Babylon came the cult of the virgin mother-goddess, who was worshiped as the highest of gods–see S. H. Langdon, Semitic Mythology, 1931 edition.  This worship was taken over as Mary-worship by Rome. Heathen sun-worship on Sunday was likewise adopted by the Roman apostasy.

“In order to attach to Christianity great attraction in the eyes of the nobility, the priests adopted the outer garments and adornments which were used in pagan cults.” -Life of Constantine, Eusabius, cited in Altai-Nimalaya, p. 94

“The Church did everything it could to stamp out such ‘pagan’ rites, but had to capitulate and allow the rites to continue with only the name of the local deity changed to some Christian saint’s name.” -Religious Tradition and Myth. Dr. Edwin Goodenough, Professor of Religion, Harvard University. p. 56, 57

“From the foregoing, which treats merely of the more important solar festivals, it is clear that these products of paganism are as much in force at present, as they ever were, and that Christianity countenances, and in many cases has actually adopted and practiced, pagan rites whose significance is merely lost sight of because attention is not called tot the source whence these rites have sprung. So heavy was this infiltration that Sir Samuel Dill exclaims: “Christianity is only a sect of the Mithraists.” -Roman Society from Nero to Marcus Aurelius, p. VII

Actually, it would be far more accurate if he said, “Catholicism is only a sect of the Mithraists.” The true Remnant Christians of today would never do such things as this. As Revelation 14:4 puts it, the true Church of Christ is not defiled by these women (churches)

“We know that Mithraism was a state religion of Rome at the time that the Christian church was established there. Evidently tenants of Mithraism such as Sunday worship and eating the wafer in the mass were adopted into Christianity at that time” -Jim Arrabito “666 & the Mark”

In Stanley’s History, page 40: “The popes filled the place of the vacant emperors at Rome, inheriting their power, their prestige, and their titles from PAGANISM.”

“In short, sun worship, symbolically speaking, lies at the very heart of the great festivals which the Christian Church celebrates today, and these relics of heathen religion have, through the medium of their sacred rites, curiously enough blended with practices and beliefs utterly antagonistic to the spirit which prompted them.” -Sun Lore of All Ages, Olcott, p. 248

“Yet the cross itself is the oldest of phallic emblems, and the lozenge-shaped windows of cathedrals are proof that the yonic symbols have survived the destructions of the pagan Mysteries. The very structure of the church itself is permeated with phallicism. (sexual symbolism) Remove from the Christian Church all emblems of Priapic origin and nothing is left…” -The secret teaching of all ages by Manley P. Hall

“When the zealots of the primitive Christian Church sought to Christianise paganism, the pagan initiates retorted with a powerful effort to paganise Christianity. The Christians failed but the pagans succeeded. With the decline of paganism the initiated pagan hierophants transferred their base of operations to the new vehicle of primitive Christianity, adopting the symbols of the new cult to conceal those eternal verities which are ever the priceless possession of the wise.” -The secret teachings of all ages, Manley P. Hall p. CLXXXV

The Christians failed because Christ would have no agreement with such error. He would never sanction mixing truth with error. Deuteronomy 12:29-32 confirms that perfectly! “…The world, cloaked with a form of righteousness, walked into the church. Now the work of corruption rapidly progressed. Paganism, while appearing to be vanquished, became the conqueror. Her spirit controlled the church. Her doctrines, ceremonies, and superstitions were incorporated into the faith and worship of the professed followers of Christ.” Ellen G.White, -The Great Controversy, p. 50

“The belief in miracle-working objects, talismans, amulets, and formulas was dear to Christianity, and they were received from pagan antiquity . . . The vestments of the clergy and the papal title of ‘Pontifus Maximus’ were legacies from pagan Rome. The [Catholic] Church found that rural converts still revered certain springs, wells, trees, and stones; she thought it wiser to bless these to Christian use then to break too sharply the customs of sentiment . . . Pagan festivals dear to the people, reappeared as Christian feasts, and pagan rites were transformed into Christian liturgy . . . The Christian calendar of saints replaced the Roman ‘fasti’ [gods]; ancient divinities dear to the people were allowed to revive under the names of ‘Christian saints’… Gradually the tenderest features of Astarte, Cybele, Artemis, Diana, and Isis were gathered together in the worship of Mary”–Will Durant, The Age of Faith, 1950, pp. 745-746.

Langdon tells us that Mary worship came from ancient Babylon where the virgin mother-goddess was worshiped under the name “Ishtar.” Elsewhere in the Near East, the mother-goddess was called “Astarte, Ashtoreth, Persephone, Artemis, [Diana] of Ephesus, Venus, and Isis.” This goddess, considered to be greater than any god, was called by these heathen the “virgin mother, merciful mother, Queen of Heaven, and my lady” [which is what "Madonna" means in Italian]. Langdon says she was often sculptured in mother-and-infant images, or as a “mater dolorom” [sorrowful mother] interceding for men with a wrathful god. And thus ancient paganism was brought into the churches and lives of Christians.–see S.H. Langdon, Semitic Mythology, 1931 edition, pp. 12-34, 108-111, 341-344.

Laing mentions several other corruptions by which the mother-goddess was worshiped by heathens, that Rome adopted into Christianity: holy water, votive offerings, elevation of sacred objects [lifting of the host], the priest’s bells, the decking of images, processions, festivals, prayers for the dead, the worship of relics and the statues of saints.–see Gordon J. Laing, Survivals of Roman Religion, 1931 edition, pp. 92-95, 123-131,238-241.

Two dominant elements brought into Christianity from paganism by Rome were Sun worship symbols and the religious practices of ancient Babylon] “The solar theology of the Chaldaeans [Babylonians], had decisive effect … [upon the] final form reached by the religion of the pagan Semites, and following them, by that of the Romans when [the Roman emperor] Aurelian, the conqueror of Palmyra, had raised ‘Sol Invictus’ [the invincible sun-god] to the rank of supreme divinity in the Empire”–The Cambridge Ancient History, vol. 11, pp. 643, 646-647. From Palmyra he transferred to the new sanctuary the images of Helios [the sun-god] and Bel, the malaise patron god of Babylon–see Cumont, The Oriental Religions In Roman Paganism, 1911 edition, pp. 114-115, 124.

“The removal of the capital of the Empire from Rome to Constantinople in 330, left the Western Church, practically free from imperial power, to develop its own form of organization. The Bishop of Rome, in the seat of the Caesars, was now the greatest man in the West, and was soon [when the barbarians over-ran the empire] forced to become the political as well as the spiritual head.”–A.C. Flick, The Rise of the Medieval Church p. 168.

“Whatever Roman elements the barbarians and Aryans left… [came] under the protection of the Bishop of Rome, who was the chief person there after the Emperor’s disappearance… The Roman Church in this way privily pushed itself into the place of the Roman World-Empire, of which it is the actual continuation; the empire has not perished, but has only undergone a transformation… It [the Catholic Church] is a political creation, and as imposing as a World-Empire, because [it is a continuation of] the Roman Empire. The Pope, who calls himself ‘King’ and ‘Pontifus Maximus’ [the title of the Roman Emperor in the time of Christ], is Caesar’s successor.”–Adolf Harnack, What is Christianity? 1963, pp.269-270.

“Long ages ago, when Rome through the neglect of the Western emperors was left to the mercy of the barbarous hordes, the Romans turned to one figure for aid and protection, and asked him to rule them; and thus,… commenced the temporal sovereignty of the popes. And meekly stepping to the throne of Caesar, the vicar of Christ took up the sceptre to which the emperors and kings of Europe were to bow in reverence through so many ages.”–American Catholic Quarterly Review, April, 1911.

[Speaking of the time, about 500 A.D., when the Roman Empire was crumbling to pieces:] “No, the [Catholic] Church will not descend into the tomb. It will survive the Empire… At length a second empire will arise, and of this empire the Pope will be the master–more then this, he will be the master of Europe. He will dictate his orders to kings who will obey them”–Andrea Lagarde, The Latin Church in the Middle Ages, 1915, p. vi.

“From the foregoing, which treats merely of the more important solar festivals, it is clear that these products of paganism are as much in force at present… as they ever were, and that Christianity countenances, and in many cases has actually adopted and practiced, pagan rites whose significance is merely lost sight of because attention is not called to the source whence those rites have spring. So heavy was this infiltration that Sir Samuel Dill exclaims: “Christianity is only a sect of the Mithraists.” -Roman Society from Nero to Marcus Aurelius. P. vii

Now, notice from the list below how the “Christian” Church of Rome adopted a large percentage of the Pagan doctrines; giving them Christian names.

This particular archaeological find is on display at the University Museum in Philadelphia PA. The Roman Catholic church displays a plus sign “+” cross symbol not only on the walls, paintings, windows, and roofs of their churches. Their priests also have these crosses on their clothing. Many other churches also use them and even place them inside a circle as a double symbol of Baal. The crucifix itself is an elongated version of the cross of Baal as well. This wheel can be found carved into ancient as well as modern Buddhist temples and carved into ancient ornamental form representing Osiris. St Peter’s square has largest solar wheel on the planet. ALL Catholic churches have numerous solar wheels in stain glass windows as well as many other areas of the church. Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris sports a very huge one on its face. There is a great one in ceiling as well as the floor tiles of the monastery of St. Ignatius Loyola in Spain. 39. Carvings of “nature spirits” (fauns or satyrs) depicting a horned, hoofed-god were a common feature in all Pagan churches Carvings of “nature spirits” (fauns or satyrs) depicting a horned, hoofed-god are found all over the Treasury of the Vatican beneath St Peters square as well as many Cathedrals around the world

In Pagan Rome you would find, Adad, Enlil, Baal, Neptune, Poseidon and other “gods” of storm and sea being depicted as carrying tridents in their hands Crosses as well as statues of Jesus and Mary in Cathedrals all over the world carved with tridents on them. There is even a gold statue of baby Jesus in the Vatican with three tridents coming out of his head. All three tridents also depict the phallic and yonic symbolism as well in that statue. They even curved the forks to make that fact known.
44. Hand gestures in the form of a trident can be found depicted in Pagan gods such as Jupiter, Buddha, Apollo, and Hindu deity’s as well. They are called “votive hands” in pagan temples Statue of St. Peter (Originally the old Jupiter statue of Rome) as well as millions of other statues, paintings, photos, and videos of everyone from Jesus and Mary to priests, cardinals, bishops, all the Popes, Vatican guards, and even lay people themselves in the Catholic church can be seen holding up the three finger trident salute of pagan Rome. (Now called the salute to the Trinity)
45. Pine cones used to represent the deity of a solar god Osiris, Bacchus, Dionysus, as well as Mexican gods, Hindu gods, and Assyrian gods can be found all throughout Pagan Rome The largest pine cone sculpture in the world is found in the “Court of the pine cone” at the Vatican. The pine cone is also found carved into the crooked pagan staff (serpent crosier) of the Popes of Rome. In fact the pine cone is found all throughout the Vatican as well as Cathedrals as decoration. The staff the pope holds with the deformed Jesus and crooked cross on it has a pine cone under the base of the cross.
46. Oanne, the Babylonian fish-god (half man half fish) was depicted by Pagan high priests by wearing a fish head mitre (head dress) upon a mans head to symbolise man and fish joining when the “sun god” set into the ocean. (Neptune = case in point. Half man half fish) One particular Biblical deity that confirms this is “Dagon” found in 1Samuel. (Dag=fish On=sun) Mitres or head dresses that are worn by all Popes of Catholicism are an exact duplicate of these Dagon head dresses
47. The Roman sun-god face with the alternating yonic and phallic symbols surrounding his head was found carved in excavated Roman bath houses in England. It is also found as “Apollo” on the facade of the Pergamum Museum in East Berlin. Almost all Catholic churches have the exact same carving above their pulpits, pillars, on statues, as well as carved into ceilings above altars. Some Catholic churches actually have it carved into the Eucharist itself. There is also a statue in Rome of Mary cradling the face within a blaze in her arms as if he is her child. Plus, many Weather reporters use this face inside a solar blaze as a graphic for their weather reports
48. Statues of the Romanised Egyptians Isis with globes in her hand, Hercules as a solar deity carried the very same globe in his hand, and the Persian sun-god Mithra is also depicted with the globe in his hand as a sign he is ruler of the Universe. Pagan Rome carved Poseidon with the shell as part of his head. Venus was said to be born from within a Coptic shell. St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican has this Pagan symbol within the papal crest upon the wall. The Coptic shell is also found over the crypt of St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. This cosmic symbol is often used as a font for holding holy water in Catholic churches the world over. They even have statues of angels holding this pagan symbol filled with holy water

51. The multi-level crown of the high Pagan priest was first worn by old Babylonian gods in 1800BCE. The horned tiara was carved atop Assyrian winged-bull cherubims as well. The Jewish Kabbalistic solar deity wore this very same tiara, as did Krishna. The bronze tomb of Pope Sixtus depicts his dead body in bronze with this three ringed tiara on his head. On that tiara you can also see 6 serpents upon it. All the Popes have worn the tiara as a symbol of their authority as “gods of the earth, heaven, and hell.” Hence, the “three rings” upon it. The Vatican has a solid gold tiara on display in the Vatican treasury at all times. This is the very crown the Pope will hand to Antichrist when he arrives to impersonate Jesus Christ in the days ahead.
52. Quetzalcoatl, “the lord of life and death” in the Aztec and Toltec cultures of 1000 AD had an opened chest with an exposed heart displayed in his statues. This was believed to be nourishment offered to the sun gods. Literally hundreds of thousands of statues, paintings, posters, lithographs, rings, medals, and icons have Jesus as well as Mary depicted in the exact same manner with what the Catholic church calls “The sacred heart.” Notice that these “sacred hearts” also have the symbols of the sun god Mithra glowing rather boldly behind them at all times.
53. Assyrian carvings show eagles as genies hovering over the dead. Their “book of the dead” depicts just such a picture on its cover. Eagles are used as symbols all over the Roman Catholic church. See Rev 18:2 for it speaks of the Vatican as the “hold of ever foul spirit, and a cage of ever unclean and hateful bird.”

Let me say in conclusion that paganism, far from being a minority religion is the largest religion in the world, with Christianity – at least that which Yeshua Hanotzri would approve, coming a very poor last.

Roman Christianity is the successor to ancient Babylonian paganism, and further that the religion of Yeshua Hanotzri, a different thing from the religion practised by the Christian church, has in all times been a pitiful remnant of mankind (“the little flock”): a tragically wavering light in a world of darkness. It has been a torch passed from hand to hand, in generation after generation, faintly shining through vast landscapes peopled by the shadow of death.
